What This Tool Is

EC Patta View is a free, independent, automated tool that reads text from Encumbrance Certificate (EC) and Patta/Chitta PDF documents you upload, and shows you what it finds. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Government of Tamil Nadu, the Tamil Nadu Registration Department, or TNREGINET.

What This Tool Is Not

  • It is not a government service and does not verify document authenticity directly with TNREGINET or any Revenue Department system.
  • It is not legal advice, a title verification service, or a certification of any kind.
  • It does not, and cannot, recommend whether you should proceed with, or avoid, any property transaction.
  • It cannot detect whether a document has been edited, forged, or tampered with before you uploaded it.

Accuracy

Field extraction is based on automated text pattern matching. Results are labeled "Found," "Not Found," or "Unclear — verify manually" based on how confidently a pattern matched — we do not claim 100% accuracy for any document, and layout differences across TNREGINET document versions or scanned/non-standard PDFs can affect what can be reliably extracted.

Your Responsibility

You are responsible for verifying any finding shown by this tool against the original source document and, where it matters for a legal or financial decision, with a qualified lawyer or your local Sub-Registrar. Uploading an altered or fraudulent document and relying on this tool's output is your responsibility alone — the tool has no way to detect this.

Limitation of Liability

EC Patta View, its operators, and any affiliated parties accept no liability for any decision made, loss incurred, or transaction entered into based on a report generated by this tool. This service is provided "as is," free of charge, with no warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to attempt to abuse, overload, or circumvent the security or rate-limiting measures on this site, and not to use this tool to process documents you are not authorized to view.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
